Middletown Medical Clinic
Middletown Medical Clinic is headed Dr. Kimberly Fordham who is a board-certified family practice physician with specialized training in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She provides comprehensive care to families, from preventive health to maternity services, as well as other women's health services.
Physician's Assistants Theresa Schmitz, PA-C and Jane Simard, PA, are clinicians licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician. PAs obtain medical histories and perform examinations, order treatments, diagnose illnesses, prescribe medication, interpret diagnostic tests, refer patients to specialists when appropriate and first-assist in surgery. The education of a physician assistant covers 2 to 3 years, and is a generalist approach based on the medical school model. PAs may practice in general medicine or any medical or surgical specialty. The use of the "PA-C" designation is limited to those physician assistants certified and currently in compliance with the regulations of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
